Cedar Lake Camp

From 2017 to 2023, my summers revolved around my role as a camp counselor at Cedar Lake Camp, a place that has been central to my teenage life. The camp holds all my best memories and friendships, which began when I was a camper at age 11. As a counselor, I directed daily functions for the camp, creating engaging recreational opportunities for children, adults, and families. My responsibilities included discipling campers, teaching Bible studies, and assisting in leading multiple international evangelistic mission trips.

Words cannot express how thankful I am for Cedar Lake Camp, especially for its profound spiritual impact on my life. It was here that the gospel first resonated with me: understanding that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to Earth, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to atone for our sins. His resurrection provided a way for us to be reconciled with God. Through the continued discipleship during my camper and counselor years, I came to realize my need for a Savior, recognizing that I was a sinner deserving of punishment. At age 17, I truly accepted Jesus as my Savior and was baptized at the camp. Praise be to God for what Jesus did on the cross and for how Cedar Lake Camp has touched many generations. Soli Deo Gloria.
