Covenant Church of Cookeville

Covenant Church is the church I grew up in, so it was incredible to have the opportunity to serve there as I got older. God’s hand was definitely in the whole situation that led to me working at Covenant Church. I was trying to discern my call to ministry, and I had just left my previous job when I had a meeting with the pastors at my church. The meeting was initially just to catch up, so I mentioned my job situation. Amazingly, they told me they were in need of an intern to help with a variety of tasks. It was truly God's divine timing how everything worked out, and it was such a blessing and a great experience.

During my time at Covenant Church, I took on many responsibilities: I cleaned the offices, helped set up for events, participated in Sunday worship, ran our Zoom calls, assisted with community outreach, and helped run our after-school children's ministry, where I played games with the kids and assisted them with their homework. This experience was invaluable and affirmed my calling to serve in ministry. I sadly don’t have pictures from my time here other than a lot of Zoom screenshots.
